The X-Files 👽 Favourite episodes

Hi hello everypony! I am rewatching The X-Files as I own the entire series now, and I have been writing little bits and pieces about each episode and also marking my favourites! I decided to share some of my favourites with you all in hopes of finding more fans of the show! I will update it as I go. Spoilers possible below, proceed with caution <3

Season One🛸

Pilot - The first episode, so of course it is a favourite of mine!

Squeeze - The first monster episode not connected to the main plot, and boy it is a tense one! Despite having seen majority of the show in the first watch, and knowing Scully does not die in this episode, I still held my breath and worried for her.

The Jersey Devil - I liked seeing into Scully's life outside of work!

Shadow - I like ghost episodes. Also it is so comical that Mulder witnesses all the supernatural events and Scully just misses them. I wonder if she would see more if she believed?

Ghost in the Machine - Scully almost gets murdered by a self-preserving AI operating system and Mulder's power hungry friend does die at the hands of the operating system.

Ice - The iconic ice episode! This episode had me so freaked and I don't even know why. I would not revisit it often despite loving it so much. It was suchhh a tense episode! Yay to the dogs surviving ♥︎

Fallen Angel - The extraterrestrial beings existence is really solidified this episode! Max was such an interesting character.

Eve - Murderous clones! Mulder's realisation of the children being behind it AND poisoning their drinks was crazy work. I loved that scene.

Beyond the Sea - Scully loses her father and almost believes in that a criminal on death's row is psychic until the last minute and admits to Mulder that she is scared to believe in anything that cannot be explained by logic and science. Also Mulder calling her Dana in this episode... Oughh

Gender Bender - A cult of gender-bending aliens... Craziness.

Tooms - Connected to Squeeze! Skinner is introduced to us this episode. I cannot believe they let Tooms out only for him to go back to committing crimes. #losers

Born Again - I knewwww the actor who played the cop looked like Janice from Friends, but it was still so shocking to realise it is that very same actor! I love noticing actors in this show! Off topic in a way but the guy who plays Skinner plays Dean & Sam's grandfather in Supernatural which is AWESOME!! The show also references The X-Files here and there too. Anyway! Crazy episode. Imagine your friend/coworker being silent about who murdered you and then marrying your wife...

Season Two🛸

Little Green Men - A gorgeously painful way to start a new season! Mulder and Scully are no longer working together, Mulder won't acknowledge because he thinks it will put Scully in more trouble with the people who broke up the x-files. Also his password being something like Trustno1 cracked me up. Mulder's line "Before, I could only trust myself and now I can only trust you... and they've taken you away from me," when he was talking into his recorder after running off without telling anyone to investigate possible alien contact was PAINFUL OUGGHHHH. Skinner standing up to the smoking man this episode was awesome. Go my rebellious man, use your power!

Blood - This kind of reminded me of a Supernatural episode in a way actually! Or I suppose the Supernatural episode reminds me of this one. ANYWAY!! Very cool concept for an episode, I loved it a lot!!

Sleepless - Alex Krycek is introduced in this episode so of course it is a favourite :P Okay but seriously he plays the role of wanting to believe and standing by Mulder so well. But a big fuck you to Krycek for telling the smoking man that Scully is a bigger problem than initially thought... He is why the next two episodes occur, I am certain.

Ascension - Mulder loses his shit because Scully has been kidnapped... He almost dies, he threatens a civillian with a gun, and he almost strangles the guy that kidnaps Scully to death. Mulder hasn't been sleeping and almost falls asleep behind the wheel also. He trusts Krycek and calls him Alex which HURTS because Krycek is evil and attempts to stop Mulder from saving Scully (he also kills one guy and possibly another). Mulder does realise Krycek is in with the smoking man, but he is gone by the time he brings this to Skinner's attention. Skinner reopens the x-files as an act of rebellion against the corruption in the FBI and government. Gooooo Skinner! Scully gets abducted by aliens this episode which I forget happens so soon. Mulder has her gold cross necklace and goes to return it to Scully's mother, but her mother insists he keeps it to give it back to Scully when he finds her... Ouchies.

3 - The vampire episode! Mulder states he doesn't sleep anymore, and he wears Scully's cross necklace. Oughhhh.
