thinking of modding my old ps2

ive honestly had my ps2 for donkey years now like since i was little and it still works but my ps2 can't read the discs anymore which sucks ive had them for a long time so yk it's bound to stop working eventually over time. i haven't played it in years and it's been collecting dust so i decided why not just mod it yk? then i can play any game i want without worrying abt the discs eventually not working anymore. like a plug and play yk? i have a whole collection of ps2 games and im wondering what i should do with them. i also found this fat ps2 that's also mines somewhere in the house and it doesn't work there's no like light showing green or red on the power button so im wondering what's wrong with it. if anyone knows please let me know fr i wanna be able to fix it myself so i can get it up and running again bc it's been sitting on a shelf for years now. ive been always playing on the slim bc that's what was working for me. but yeah another thing too does anyone know what i should do with all the old dics i have? should i just keep them for like memories and stuff or is there anyway i can trade these games in to get something else i want? please let me know down in the comments that would be a big help thanks <3
