This may sound obnoxious (pls no one go off on me)

I feel like people compliment me as “smart” or look down on me because I have an education, usually out of jealousy. However no one realizes just how lonely being the only one with a diploma and in college can be. Both sides of my family are not in college and one side doesn’t have diplomas (including cousins). I feel like because I have both they tend to hate/disrespect me :/. I am also the only one in my friend group that’s in college rn. It’s like there’s no one around me to talk about the college experiences or classes. 

And maybe this sounds rude but when I talk to them about something so simple it feels like I have to dumb it all the way down to the point I run out of ways to explain something, it’s like this with a lot of convos, or when I talk about something that they don’t understand, instead of learning about it they shut it down cause they don’t understand it, it gets tiring.
