I've been testing out new finishing techniques on my hair and found out it can actually be quite tame like this. The only problem is it doesn't pick up any volume and just stays pretty claggy. I really put the work in to separate the curls until they ended up like this, and it's decent enough, I suppose. I tried things like a pick comb and the fingers and the agony (Hotel Transylvania reference hehe), and my hair reacted differently each time because it's just not used to this approach. Anyone got any tips on how to make it a bit more unruly?

first of all HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA and i just got this new curl cream that defines curls REALLY WELL!! you can use on wet or dry hair, the only problem is it smells insaneeeely like peppermint. its called mielle megan's rosemary mint daily styling creme. long ahh title lol. another product i HAVENT tried but is salon-grade is called Odele volumizing shampoo/conditioner. both of these you can find at target. i hope this helps!
Haha, I'll take your recommendations seriously ;) Y'know, there was a time I was using the apple cider vinegar line from Salon Line and the results were great, until I couldn't find the specific variation I wanted anymore:/ knowing there's another one that promises as much as the one I used is pretty dazzling.

(my hair is wavy take this with a fistful of salt) depends how much you care about damaging it. i also like my hair quite messy so heres what i do:
wash my hair upside down for a bit more volume
roughly towel dry it upside down (this will damage your hair, if you care about that use a shirt instead)
run my hands through it and ruffle it up excessively while its drying
if i really want it frizzier ill brush it while its dry (brush your hair upwards instead of downwards if you want more volume, and also brushing it while dry will damage it)
thats what works for me but my hair is wavy and yours is coily so take it or leave it lol.i also mightve misunderstood what you meant by unruly so my bad if i did. tell me if you try any of that, your hair is super nice by the way
Alex, pal. I am honestly pretty worried about the strength of my hair strands, and I lucked out in having some towels and stuff specifically for drying hair. Tomorrow I'm heading out early to go with my mum and I'll take the chance to unravel and reshape this mane, and then I'll send you the photo of the result after the session of messing my hair up completely. Actually, I think I've already done something similar to what you suggested, but instead of going for something classier, I used to opt for a headbang. Now it's better in a different way lol
