TribeTwelve Review + Comparing EMH, MH, and T12

Today, I finally finished T12, after what felt like a million years. In my opinion, it wasn't the greatest. I really enjoyed some parts! The observer is probably my favorite Slenderverse antagonist so far; I'm a huge fan of the technology aspect of it's stalking. All around, I love what they did with the technological horror feel -- that's always been one of my favorite kinds of horror, so it was nice to see it represented in something popular. Another thing that stood out to me was the video editing! I was baffled by the quality of the editing, it was honestly my favorite part of the entire series. I also quite liked the lore they built around the Collective, even if it was a bit hard to follow at times. Unfortunately, though, the story seemed to get lost after a while, and, even with the tweets and extra content, it was extremely difficult to follow. There were some plot holes and story slip-ups that irked me, and the boardwalk entries at the end seemed to drag on longer than they needed to. It also probably doesn't help my bias that I was aware of Adam Rosner's actions before I ever watched TribeTwelve (FUCK ADAM ROSNER!!!!). Overall, I'd give it a 5/10. There were some totally awesome bits, but it lacked in a lot of crucial areas.

Now that I've finished the "Big Three" Slenderverse series', I finally get to compare and contrast them! The first big thing that I noticed was how different they were horror-wise, despite all being 'focused' on Slenderman/The Operator. EverymanHYBRID seemed to be mostly focused on the gore aspect of their situation, the fear of isolation, and unhealthy attachments; Marble Hornets was centered more on the mental deterioration of those who come into contact with the Operator and the slender sickness itself; and TribeTwleve seemed fixed on the more supernatural aspects of the universe, delving into the Collective and how they operate.

I can't wait to watch MLAndersen0 and DarkHarvest next, I have high hopes!!
