 TRIGUN MANGA ENDING SPOILER ALER !!!!!!!!!!

Okay, can I be honest? I liked Trigun, a solid 8/10 if not 9/10... but the ending? It was a bit of a disappointment - DON'T JUMP ME, LET ME EXPLAIN!! I liked the fights, the one between Livio and Elendira I think was my favorite of the entire manga... but my problem comes with Knives. I MEAN - YOU, WHO FOR 97 CHAPTERS HAD THE SOLE GOAL OF ANNIECATING THE HUMAN SPECIES AND KILL YOUR BROTHER, WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE END!? Oh touching memories, oh touching words, and - BOOM! Knives joins became a good guys, goodbye human genocide, and he even saves Vash. Can I just say that makes no sense to me? I mean, why change Knives' characterization so last minute? You didn't want him to be killed by Vash? OKAY,FINE, HAVE HIM KILLED BY THE FEDERALS OR CHRONICA (again, in my opinion, her character was a little bit wasted).
