i run my tongue along the metal tainted taste of my lips, perhaps from the drink upon the side table or the bleeding of my desire of you. the way a person can obscure the sun when they stand just in front of you, soon i believe i will not entertain the stars laughter and reach further for the moon. ill tap your knee and bring in my breath deep, wont you turn towards me for one second longer. i feel the possibilities dance in between our eyes, but i cannot handle uncertainty so i will throw my hands up and back away from the source of light. with the mist clouding my vision, bringing my weariness down, i learn to fear my fearlessness, pulling back into my comfort and hiding from my own vulnerability. but for now, ill hold the ghost of your scent close to me, long ago faded away from over use and throw my screen towards the heart. so for now (i will sit in the ways of my nervousness, and hope you will wait) because the taste of you is all i desire for.Â
