undertale my beloved

undertale isn't just your typical indie rpg. it's more than that and it's really good! i saw undertale animations and memes on youtube back in 2015 and i can still remember how they were. i wish that i had gotten into undertale during that time when it was really popular because i knew about it but didn't know what it was and watched undertale animation videos in its prime or that one fan theory that steven from steven universe was sans lmao which i found to be so funny bc they have the same body shape and everything. i will never forget about that. the good ol days (i feel so old 💔). 

anyways years later now in 2026 i finally play it seriously and this wasn't actually my first time i think last year 2025 was when i was starting my first run and i had like 3 hours into the game i was rlly getting into the story and the characters and why this child got stuck here in the underground. so ofc i wanted to know more. last i remember i was at the udyne boss fight and idk what happened but i ended up sadly losing my progress on there which sucked big time. but now that i finally locked in and did a good run i finally got to asgore boss fight. 

today im gonna see if i could beat him but damn it's just crazy to me how far i got yk? um dude i love sans and papyrus there so silly and funny and toriel is just so motherly like she rlly cared for this child yk? like as if we the player was her own child. even though we are human she wants to protect us from the monsters and such. like she even wanted us to stay there with her. she's just so sweet and kind.

 flowey i fucking hate that flower bro he seems so innocent at first but i lowkey didn't trust him since the start and thank god i didn't bc he is pure evil. umm i think the child's name that we play as is frisk? correct me if im wrong but since the start of the game we barely even know much about them we only know how they got into the ruins but nothing about their family or how they got their in the first place. so that really stays a mystery. maybe they did mention smth but i probably either missed it or wasn't paying attention.

 i rlly liked the royal guard dogs they are so freaking cute. even the temmies. like when i found the little secret place to get them i was in awe with how freaking adorable they are and there was so many of them too! 

asgore is another interesting character bc she's the one that rules the royal guard and is just tryna protect and keep her people safe and i don't blame her bc they suffered for so long stuck underground in the ruins. hell i would be mad too. when i first saw her appear i was scared shitless when she was chasing after me istg.

 i rlly liked some of the other monsters in the game and how we interacted with them and i like how in the game it showed how the monsters we're just living their daily lives like normal instead of them being like really scary creatures that are all separated and against each other. the game really knows how to set things up like with unexpected moments and the plot twists and lemme just say the soundtrack is a fucking banger whenever the osts played out in the background i was literally jamming to that shit while playing the game like it's that good!

 bro and lemme mention dr. alphys and mettaton i fucking love them. during my playthrough when i found out that dr. alphys was on our side and didn't try to kill us i immediately liked her. her talking, stuttering and being nervous when talking to frisk was so fucking relatable omg. the fact that she loves to talk about her favorite movie or show with them and leave reviews is so funny when i was reading them i couldn't help but smile. it was so nice that she helped us throughout the rest of the game and when fighting mettaton. 

at first i didn't like mettaton and thought he was just this annoying killing machine but omg is he gorgeous during his fight when i had the switch the back of his backside and saw his true form i was like that one squidward meme where squidward said "oh no he's hot" like he genuinely has one of the best designs ever and fashion out all the other characters. like i found it so funny when the music started playing and he was posing bc it's like he came out if jojo's bizarre adventure lmao as a matter of fact he would fit right in i love his character man.

 as for asgore the king i feel so bad for him bc he seems so sweet and nice man but he lost his child and the first human to come into the ruins like that freaking sucks and it was the fact that he was protecting this child and the humans though he had killed him and attacked him but instead that poor child died. like it's no wonder he and all the other monsters don't like humans. 

ik he cares for them deep down and doesn't wanna attack them but the humans fucked it up and i see why whenever a human enters the ruins that a monster tries to kill them. this story is just so interesting like wow. i still have yet to beat asgore bc he's the final boss and yeah the game will come to a close for undertale. i gotta say though that i really enjoyed playing this game and that i recommend it to anyone who hasn't played this game yet because it's really good.
