if you are minor, don't lie about your age when creating your profile. there is a filter based on a specific range that users can choose that is not always effective because sometimes a 13 years old user is marked as 20+

it can affect your own profile too, considering other users that are also minor will be less likely to check your profile because they will think you are adult
please pay attention

Yes. Friend rewind has a safety measure for minors to avoid interaction. Their would be no reason to to do this anyways because you can still add them they just can't add you. This prevents random creeps from just requesting and dming you without your clear intent. Which requires you to seek another account. This could be like an older brother or guardian so having that open can serve it's genuine use cases.
