Vacation got cut short

[still in the middle of rebranding I just wanted to ramble a bit]

So, I am back in Mexico 2 weeks early. Thus, I'm back on FRW 2 weeks early. Why?

Cuba did an oopsie. Twice!

Normally, my family is very wary of blackouts and we can usually time it so that we can all reunite without a blackout interfering. But.. It happened twice this time. What a lack of luck. So, unfortunately, after a long family meeting, we decided that everyone that doesn't live in Cuba should go home for their own comfort and safety. Not fun. I feel bad, but it was my family still living in Cuba who made the decision. I respect their empathy and care, and I'm very grateful for their decision [seeing as how I'm back at home with my puppy and cat] but I still feel bad. I'm hoping they're doing alright; before you worry, they have a beefy generator that they use to keep their food cold and watch DVDs. They're generally pretty okay but I just worry because nobody likes a blackout lel

So yes, I'm back home in Xalapa. Paid my neighbor in full for watching my pets because I don't like to promise something and then go back because of my own inconveniences. I'm here :-3
