you know i always find it kinda funny how hung up vampires are on humans noticing traits they have
like it happens in every universe; vampires are always so hyper paranoid about humans noticing abnormalities, i dont think they realize how DUMB HUMANS ARE. Like i dont think they realize how quickly a human will try and find ANY EXPLANATION other than "oh theyre a vampire" to explain things
like unless your seen actively drinking blood nobody is gonna think your a vampire. like having the fangs? that is a 100% normal human trait; i know people who basically have "fangs" naturally. Like red eyes? unless theyre like, glowing red eyes, no human is gonna jump to the conclusion that your a vampire. pale skin? natural skin color or anemia. having claws? probably just a personal style.
or like twilight vampires, sparkly skin??? NO HUMAN IS GOING TO ASSUME YOUR A VAMPIRE CUZ YOUR SKIN IS FREAKING SPARKLY
like its just funny to me. its why like an emo vampire works so well cuz literally every vampire trait they need to worry about is taken care of. They could probably unironically say theyre a vampire and nobody would bat an eye, even if they had fangs and red eyes and pale skin
Like genuinely, vampires could exist irl and humans would have NO IDEA cuz of how much vampire media there is and how desensitized we are to it
just a funny thought i had since i recently watched blade and those vampires are very good at blending in despite their traits (tho tbh their very blendable vampires they dont have pale skin or special eye colors and the thirst is SO much less intense than it is in something like twilight)
