Welcome to Elderfield : horror farming sim with turn by turn combat.
So I'll start this with the fact that I'm not a huge fan of playing horror game. This one, however, despite the body horror present, isn't as scary as it is setting up an atmosphere that to us, as outsiders, can feel scary. My vocabulary isn't great, it's just that it is so obvious that there are so many wrong things in this town, but to everyone living in it, it's just life.
The farming aspect of farming sim isn't as... relevant, as my other experiences (Stardew Valley and Fields of Mistria), as in i spend about 10% of my time farming, the other 90% being exploring the Mall and fighting.
Theres a lot of fighting. So. So much fighting. Maybe i'm exaggerating and the strength of my weapons is making everything feel a lot slower. It's a turn by turn combat system. The fact the player has way less turns than the enemies annoys me a bit, but the dev seems to have plans to improve the combat.
I love the artstyle, and the town is quite big, so I still get lost (which is a plus in my books).
I have yet to try to get to know the love interests, as it's usually the last thing i focus on after getting used to things.
Frankly the only thing i dont like is how i am really bad at the fighting aspect of the game. It's not a critique because i'm fairly sure it's my own skills that are lacking.
I personally recommend, you can always try the demo if you want :)
