Did your mother hold you in her arms 

And think that you were a gift

Or did she teach you to be the way you are 

Was your skin ever soft 

Or have you always been wrinkled and hard 

Its difficult to imagine you 

As someone who had not yet done evil

As someone who had the potential for good

Did you smile then?

Or did you come out of the womb 

Red faced and screaming in hatred 

Did you suck from your mother's teat 

Or were you born with your gnashing teeth

Even if you weren't 

I do not hold any kind spot in my heart for you 

And I never will 

But for the babe that your 

Eyes once belonged to
