what is UP with technology these days?? -_-

okay so i know i'm noramlly not THIS cynical and really try hard not to be, at least not outwardly in a public setting, but i just CAN NOT help myself after seeing a prime example of why i'm starting to doubt that a lot of gen Z's fond memories of computers/the interwebz were based on nostalgia. i think some things really were better back then -- lemme explain cuz this is SOOOO driving me cray-cray!! >:/

this started about an hour ago when i was trying to work on some homework that requires me to use microsoft word and follow instructions to properly format a document. simple, right? WRONG!! i had to log into the web-based microsoft word (nevermind the fact that i had to close out of...*shudder*...c-copilot... before i could get there). so i thought "okay, i put in my password, we should be good to go! and we were!

...uuuuntil the instructions my professor handed out said that we had to use a feature that it turns out WASN'T available on the web-based version!! i looked it up, and saw that i had to download word itself. fair enough, i figured. but then i got hit with the "erm, you get more features if you subscribe!!" type of gobbledygook. blech! >_< but i went with the free version and it took a good TEN MINUTES 'cuz it had to download the entire office suite. and after clicking out of about three pop-ups, NOW i can work on my assignment.

it ain't just me thinkin' this, right? why do i have to jump through enough hoops to make superman 64 jealous just to do my freaking HOMEWORK??? little wonder why i'm working on my neocities, jamming to nightcore and playing purble place the moment i'm done with this icky yucky BS. :P

That's rough. LOL XD

I don't know, I'm 22 and honestly I'm more into Retro Gaming even when I was younger.

Yeah, I do have a fair share of Modern Gaming Experience back when I was younger like "Minecraft", "Jetpack Joyride", "Angry Birds" and "Plants .VS. Zombies" and so on and so fourth.

But I'm very much into Retro Gaming back then and Emulation got me into it.

Maybe because Gaming back then was very fun and simple.

No DLCs, No Patches, No Microtransactions.

What you get is it is what it is and developers had to finish the game before releasing it unlike now some would put it out then finish it later.

Maybe that's that.
