what's so great about being yourself..

when it comes to music people are so shallow (?) . a ptv song starts trending every few months n then u see comments like "OMGOSH I DIDNT KNOW EMO MUSIC COULD BE SO COOL" and run the song thru dirt until it becomes a 'niche tiktok emo song' . i think music having stereotypes such as 'emo' is dumb since .. a song can't sound emo ? a specific group of people might listen to those songs more then the other , but u can't hear a song with guitars , drums and (maybe) a turntable and scream "EMO" 

i think this is also partially why majority of this generation usually only sticks to the same 4 genres . they don't get curious to explore other artists and genres because they arent interested or care to know about the different music this world has to offer because they don't wanna be associated with a certain group of people . u can still be pink and girly and listen to rock or nu metal & u can still be goth or scene and listen to pop and rnb . its not hard to look up a popular band and go thru their discography or discover new artists 😟
