i hate the fact that "whimsy" is being used for everything that's not boring,sometimes it's used for stuff that is boring (ex.that one girl who bought like twenty plain cups for a chance to get a fancy one,some mystery box thing). Not everything needs to be whimsical,and it cannot encompass everything that is not the minimalism plain aesthetic.
i think we should just call it what it is,instead of "whimsy",you can call it cute,colourful,extra,patterned. (ex. cute bag charm,colourful earrings,extra shoes,patterned shirt)

I assume that one's about the squishy dumplings. Yeah that's not whimsy, that's just submissing to consumerism which is about as unusual as not having property in Detroit. Whimsy is about creativity, what's creative about going with the ebb and flow?
not the dumplings (but yeah),it was this thing about chicfale(idk how to spell it) cups,and there was a chance to get a golden one or something,not only are the cups lowkey ugly but also expensive and ya know....bad in every way overconsuming is.
