why are we still mad about pineapple pizza?

ok this isn't the sort of thing that i normally post, but this morning i've just been REALLY curious as to why so many people are angry about pineapple pizza. now, i think it's a lil important to mention that i don't mean simply disliking it is bad. i'd rather get a root canal than eat coleslaw or macaroni salad, but that's just me

i'm talking about peeps who actually get put in a worse mood when it gets so much as a mention. and i just have to ask...why exactly is it considered a "sin," "blight upon humanity," "an offense to which cruel and unusual punishment is the only sane response," yada yada?

legit wondering...and no, i'm not just asking this because i myself do like pineapple pizza. it just seems like no other food combo gets as much debate. did people get this mad when peanut butter met jelly? or pumpkin spice met the latte? drop your ideas in the comments!!
