Why every artist i love is dead :

like... seriously, is it just me or does this keep happening??? T_T

it feels like every single time i discover a new artist, musician, creator, or just someone really cool, something bad happens.

for example, i literally just found out about wifiskeleton, started listening, thought "wow, this is actually really good" and then i find out he died????? 😭

and that's not even the first time this has happened.

i swear this keeps happening over and over again.

i'll be listening to some random song and think:

"yo this is actually amazing :O"

then i'll go look up the artist...

and boom.

they're gone.

every. single. time. x_x

chester bennington was one of those people too. i remember learning more about him and his music and then finding out what happened. stuff like that always hits me way harder than it probably should.

sometimes it isn't even the singer. sometimes it's a band member, a drummer, a producer, or someone else connected to the music. i'll be having a good time listening and then suddenly i'm reading some depressing wikipedia page at 2am like "oh..."

and honestly? it kinda sucks.

When oliver tree died, 2 weeks before his death i was listening to alien boy and miss you and i was like, omg im excited to a new album, fucking mouth of mine, RIP..

there's this weird feeling when you discover something amazing and then realize the person behind it isn't here anymore. like you missed out somehow.

you never got to see what they would've made next.

you never got to see where their career would've gone.

you never got to see them grow older.

it's such a strange feeling.

and the worst part is that it always seems to happen to the people whose work means the most to others.

maybe i'm just being dramatic lol.

but sometimes i genuinely sit there thinking:

"wtf man, why do the good ones always die?"

i know that's not really how life works.

bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.

but still...

sometimes it feels unfair.

idk.

maybe the only good thing is that their music is still here.

even if they're gone, their songs aren't.

and maybe that's why people still remember them years later.
