Why Nana and Hachi would NOT have been good together

While it is heavily suggested that they have feelings for each other, I'm not even sure whether they've considered it themselves. In the past, Hachi has studied in an all girls school, so for her, I think she just sees all girls as her 'friends' and nothing more, because she just doesn't know it's possible for her to actually like a girl.

The same for Nana. I don't think either of them actually considered the possibility of being lesbian, probably because of the way they were brought up.

Hachi also mentions that Nana would be the perfect boyfriend if she was a 'guy'.

Furthermore, if Nana and Hachi did end up in a relationship, it would've been a mess. Nana is known to be obsessive over Hachi, and literally everything she did at the end was because she let her possessive nature take over. Hachi, in my opinion, blurs the line between love and lust way too much.

I believe Nana and Hachi were bound to be doomed.
