Working on my band’s demo is SO STRESSFUL OH MY GOD + band updates / ramble #28

ITS SO STRESSFUL. Like even at the slacking off lazy pace i normally work at it’s STRESSFUL. aside from lyric… i write lyrics like a BEAST i never shut up 😋 but aside from that it’s so stressful. 

We are currently into recording our first little demo, which is very messy.. i’m currently still relearning all my instruments and also learning music theory at the same time (because for some reason 5 years i made it without learning a drop of it..)  

now don’t get me wrong. music theory is a piece of cake, but APPLYING IT oh my god 😭 it’s HELL. Aside from that i can slap bass now.. sooo… expect to maybe hear that on the track???

my guitarist is carrying me so bad.. but to be fair, he already knows music theory and has been knowing all that nerd stuff for longer than me.. 

i am just a vocal and lyric girl, thats what i know most about and thats what i’m good at. Bass on the other hand… it’s like. i can make it sound good? but also it’s hard to make a sexy bassline that can also be played while singing with my delicious soul voice (reference)..

anyways. we are maybe like 10% percent done on the demo? we started maybe like last week..

ALSO WHERE IS OUR FUCKING DRUMMER? 😭😭😭 drummers who can be our recording drummer i might need you.. hmu.. but also i’m not certain right now.

our drummer situation is so messy.

I have three drummers: an EVIL bitch, a very non-musical drummer who is always busy, or a CHUD GOONER.

The first drummer was my main pick.. but long story short: she was actually my ABUSER (LOLLL.. not lol…  actually.. but laugh) and when we fell out she left and shaded my band on her blog 😭😭😭 rude… she did not contribute jack doody and now she’s started another band and lowkey im SCARED cause she has all my old concept art.

second drummer is technically our drummer. She’s super a sweetie I love her, but is SO BUSY. ALL THE TIME…

the gooner drummer i actually am open to practicing with but my guitarist does not want him in the band. which is probably a good call.. but c’mon we don’t have any options 😭😭😭
