This past weekend I went to Winnipeg, Canada!!:D for my high school friend's birthday weekend...she turned 21 but me and my other high school friend are only 20...and since we live in the Chud united states we had to find a loophole to go out drinking together.....
It was pretty neat! It was my first time leaving the country...we drove up on Friday, the drive was soooo long (7 hours) and there were issues with the airbnb the first four hours we were there....which my friend had to deal with mostly, on top of being sick (she actually got me sick too, the past few days have been Hell for me
, which is why I'm only now blogging about everything) The whole experience kind of rattled everyone else (not me honestly, I was chill) and they actually started having second thoughts about going out clubbing the next day (which kind of pissed me off! I mean that's why we came up here!!!) On Saturday we did some exploring, that's when I took most of my pictures ^^ we went to a garden and a sculpture garden (I wanted to take more time looking at the sculptures but everyone else dgaf apparently
I'm too #aestheticminded I guess) and then we went to Forks Market, an indoor market that had food and shops. I had a really good sandwich and bought some stuff for my family and my coworker friend. And then that night we pregamed and went clubbing!! The first club we went to was kinda lame, it was more of a bar....so we left and went to a bigger one....but we didn't have any cash or cards with us! So my friend had to befriend some people there and they got cash from the ATM (she paid them back through venmo dw) and yeah we just danced for about an hour (we had to leave early bcuz her college friend, who had stayed back at the airbnb, wanted us to come back
this caused some drama later on) And then on Sunday I had to drive back home for five hours on four and a half hours of sleep![]()
Everyone we met in Canada was really nice, really fitting the stereotype I guess.....It honestly didn't feel that different from the states, despite some of the bilingual signs, but I imagine that's only because Winnipeg is so near the border.....farther north it would potentially be more different.......I would love to visit again, and spend more time than just a weekend! I think it would be cool to see Montreal (one of my favorite bands is from there Lol), maybe one day I could plan a trip to New York City and then go up to Montreal.....
But ultimately I want to Live in so many places, I don't think visiting gives enough of a feel for what it's really like in that place, being a tourist vs. a resident is very different.....I don't know how possible it is to move around like that though...Anyway all my beautiful Canadian pictures will be posted in a photo album #soon (๑>◡<๑)
