Ytp’s are a an amazing form of artistic expression

It might sound stupid but I really do think ytp’s are a magnificent art form that deserves to be respected a bit more than they currently are. To me making a ytp is fascinating as it requires previously created works as a base, but is able to completely transform and change said work into something else. Ytp’s can be made from anything, tv shows, movies, videos, games, anything with a start and a finish is open to being turned into a ytp. Now a ytp can be a simple edit, making everyone in a scene blue, cutting out every time someone says “the”, etc, what matters is that it is change to a work, that changes the works intended meaning. You can change a drama to a comedy, or a documentary into a music video, as long as you can think of the connections from one work into another, you can create a ytp. And thats the beauty of them as an art form, they are open to anyone who has engaged in a work and felt there could be changes, how extreme those are can vary of course, but its a very easy medium to start in. It gives people a way to voice something from inside, thoughts or feelings that can be expressed through works that spoke to them before. They are just a very personal art form that relies on the influence of other works, but also highlights the individual creator’s intent and message, based on what is changed and what remains. Fundamentally ytp’s act not only as a statement from the creator, but also shows what influences went into the creation of that statement, using the influences themselves to create the statement. They really do allow someone to say a lot about themselves, without technically saying anything original, and thats just a fascinating form of art to me. Also suus and “pingas” are funny.
