zero day

TW discussion of a film detailing a fictional school shooting!!! do not read this if that is a trigger for you.

ok i wanna start this by saying i am NOT part of the tcc, i do NOT like the tcc, my brother isnt part of the tcc, he does not like the tcc. i do not agree with school shootings, i am against guns, i do not glorify school shooters. ok now i can start.

ok so. i JUST watched a film called Zero Day and it was fucking horrific. it lulls you into a false sense of security and then the last 15 minutes are fucking awful. My brother knows a LOT about that kind of thing and so it was a recommendation from him and we watched it together. while im not a huge fan of the film from a casual enjoyer perspective, from a film studies student and actor's perspective the film was AMAZINGLY crafted and the acting was phenomenal. 

it seemed very very very inspired (especially in the formatting and creative process) by the blair witch project, probably a favourite film of mine, which was cool to see. blair witch came out in 1999, and zero day was filmed in 2002 and released in 2003. i might post about the similarities between the films soon.

but yeah just felt the need to talk about that a bit. i will come back when ive processed the film a little more.
