my fellow cd users and burners, i usually use cnvmp3 to convert youtube to mp3 and for the past nearly three hours it has not been working at all and won't download anything >< i tried another website that didnt even save them as mp3 so it wont even play on my files. i dont know if its because the videos im downloading are too old, but i was able to do it w an album released in 2010 and this one is from 2013
what are some safe converters you guys use that i can try out as an alternative?
I have been using https://freeytmp3.org/ for years, though I am not sure how safe it is lowkey but it's never done me wrong! it changes the link every now and then, I guess to avoid getting taken down
also to note I have not used it for burning stuff onto cds but I can't see why it wouldn't work
i know its extra steps, but I've always downloaded videos as an mp4, then either isolated the audio myself or put it through a mp4 to mp3 converter.

i personally use SoulSeek but idk if that's what ur looking fer, they offer a lot of diff files n diff filetypes but ive defo seen .mp3 before.

instead of downloading viruses with you songs, you can use yt-dlp, you also will be able to rip youtube videos nicely
the only issue i was met with is that it sometimes introduces some artifacts, really depends on the song and there's only one song that i had such issues with
you'll have to convert the song to the format you need but if you often need to do that, why not download a standalone one? i personally use aimp but you can use free audio converter
as for yt-dlp, create a folder where you want to keep it(i use root of the main drive), then download yt-dlp from the official github page
after that, download ffmpeg so you could actually rip something:https://github.com/yt-dlp/FFmpeg-Builds/releases/tag/latest
yt-dlp it self is a command line program so if you don't want to type a big command every time you want to rip a song then you'll need gui for it:https://github.com/kannagi0303/yt-dlp-gui
after you downloaded everything, put it into the folder we created earlier, and after that run yt-dlp-gui.exe
after that everything should be straight-forward enough
@,.•°‰M€B♪GB@££$‰°•., yt-dlp has worked pretty well for me, i use it with ubuntu and it's easy (at least for me) and fast the only thing really is the setup is kinda complicated if you don't have someone who knows what they're doing to help you

ur missing out on soulseek if ur still on mp3 converters, you'll probably find music from ur favorite bands that u didn't even know existed on there
The best one has to be CNVMP3 , which is ad free and can convert both mp3 and mp4!! It works for mobile and desktop.
