Forum Style Groups

Back to Site Feedback

I just want to first say this isn't something urgent, and I LOVE the discord style groups we currently have. I'm just thinking of possibly renaming the discord style groups to "chatroom" and then including forum style groups as "groups".

If this is implemented, then maybe group owners could choose between creating a Forum Group or a Roleplay Group. If they choose a roleplay group, members including the owner could create a small character profile when joining (character name, short bio and a profile image). These changes will only be present in the group.

. Also giving the owner to ability to give tags

Honestly the main reason for this suggestion is my sudden urge and desire to roleplay as my characters 😭

i have a (kinda) similar idea with the forums/groups here

what if

- users could create their own board
- perhaps initially limit it to one board per user idk
- and they could then set up their own intro threads
- their own topics (e.g. memes, random, blah blah blah, etc.)
- like a scaled down version of the forum itself
- and what if they had an option to make those public/private/invite only
- and it still had all the core features the forum does
- e.g. post count, custom css, threaded replies etc.

what if that was a thing :3

I like this idea a lot! I've had the roleplay itch as well, and I definitely think having something like this would be the best and cleanest way to handle it, making sure that everything is able to be attached to single accounts and keeping everyone accountable when it comes to something as messy as roleplay can be 👍 Definitely best for moderation, if nothing else!

I agree with this!!!!!!!!!

I think for the people who for some reason want a Discord-like system on a site like this vs people who want a more accurate experience of older MySpace with the bulletins and what not.. separating them into two different things would probably be the best outcome
