Post-hardcore and/or screamo band/song recs?

Back to Music

I'm getting back into my emo phase but even deeper lol, looking for band/song recs :3

Some bands I've already checked out and liked but would like specific song recs for: Her Words Kill, A Heartwell Ending, April's Love Affair, Chiodos, Silverstein, Circa Survive, Picture Me Broken, probably more I've forgotten

Lmk what your favourite post-hardcore/screamo songs are or what songs would be best to listen to by the bands I mentioned as someone who doesn't know many of their songs :)

I love a heartwell ending and i'd suggest starting w "secrets between the sheets" or "trust us, we lie", then if you enjoy that album, listen to "letters in lipstick" which is one of their original demos from myspace, it's on yt i believe

listen to refused for an additional punk kick

songs r hard to suggest since i think they invoke a feeling thats very differing based on the person. for silverstein id suggest discovering the waterfront or a shipwreck in the sand. hwk only has 1 album sadly but priscilla brooks on that album is a masterpiece. some other post-hardcore n screamo bands that r similar to the ones u named are gunslikegirls, me the mirror, paddock park, alexisonfire, albert react, brand new (deja entendu), arguably mcrs first album, and before today which vic and mike were in before ptv which is cool.

at the drive-in!!! i'd listen to them every morning to wake myself up on my commute. my fave song is cosmonaut. i'd suggest listening to their compilation album for an overview of their sound-- even tho folks have differing opinions on compilations, the fact that it includes vinyl- and collaboration-exclusive songs is a plus.

are they left searching for me in eternity?

versus the mirror, forever wings fold, deception of a ghost, save the clock tower, color me valiant (specifically in my heart, in my head from sinnerservantson), blessthefall, alesana, those are some of my personal favorites.
