I've been a Wuwa player since launch, starting the game hesitantly after being off of genshin for over 2 years swearing off any open world gacha but then was convinced to "just give it a shot" by some friends using the argument that "your favorite gacha company made it"

Been really enjoying it since! The story is mostly hype moments and aura but hype moments and aura well done lol so I'm not really complaining. Gameplay is super fun too.

But what are your thoughts too? Love it? Hate it? Any fans wanna gush over it? I could go on about Shorekeeper all day

I think the game is really good and you can tell the devs care about the game. My only criticism is about the extreme lack of male characters, but other than that, one of the way better open world gacha games.

Yeah honestly the fact that we dont get too many male characters is sad. But they save that a bit by making every male character the coolest mother fucker imaginable. Jiyan, Xiangli Yao, Brant, The Blind Man and Luuk all instantly stole the show the moment they showed up and had extremely interesting dynamics within the world or with Rover... or they were just him.

@Nehiri They're all hot as fuck, but their kits SUCK aside from Brant, Qiuyuan, & Luuk. They only started making their male characters S tier during the first half of 2025 with Brant. Kuro is just now starting to make their male characters actually have value.

Been a day one player (+ pre-registered too) and I've been enjoying so far. I had to stop for a bit due to my poor 2021 phone unable to stand it's demanding graphics and memory storage, but I came back a few months ago, just enough time to catch up with the MSQ and save up for the Edgerunners collab. Still enjoying the game now, just like what I felt when I first started, and could definitely see myself playing this for a long time!

I also agree with above comments about the lack of male characters. I can see them putting effort with designing male NPCs, so I'm just hoping for more male characters in the future. I also think they should also release 4* characters too...

Oh yeah 4 stars is definitely a weird thing too, but honestly I dont mind it too much? Honestly I wish Lumi and Youhu were 5 stars because I would have loved for them to be more useful in kits, I love them both so so much.

Glad you're enjoying the game tho! The story was at it's absolute peak with the Lahai-Roi ending and Wuwa always nails the region(or city in this case) introductions so the new story is bound to be great too

My brother and I have also been playing since launch! We saw it and pre-registered since we are always searching for gacha games to compare to Genshin lol. My brother plays much more, but rn we both play. I'm behind in the story but catching up slowly! I had gotten back on for Denia because i cannot resist the siren call of a pink haired magic girl in a game... and I have shorekeeper!! I got her and my brother regrets not getting her. I enjoyed her and Rover's relationship and just all of Blackshores quest. she is so sweet and scrunkly >,< Really enjoying being back on it :) lots to do now
