Innovation and modern, do yall feel like their meanings are ruined as of recently?

With how greedy companies are becoming and especially AI I wanted to ask you guys if you felt that the words "innovation" and "modern" have sort of lost their meanings due to how much stuff tech companies or just companies in general put out that people don't use
