My favorite album cover ever might be the one for Hades: The Nine Stages Of Change At The Deceased Remains by My Dead Girlfriend

I always wonder if the resemblance to the story of Orpheus and Eurydice was intentional, with the girl looking back as she walks away (presumably to the afterlife or wherever), or if I'm just looking for things that aren't there
No Thank you by Coaltar of the Deepers is a close second, I've always just thought it looks striking

Alexisonfire is maybe #3; I read somewhere that one member of the band described their sound as "music that would play when two catholic schoolgirls get into a knife fight", so naturally the album cover is extremely fitting, and reminds me of a shot that'd be in some movie

Some of my other favorites include most of the Akeboshi Rockets's album covers, I'm a huge fan of the artist they got to do these, I love the artwork on them

The covers for Thank You, My Twilight and Another Morning, Another Pillows have always stuck out to me, something about them always struck me as...idyllic? liminal? There's a specific feeling I always got from these covers that's kind of melancholy in a way I can't really describe.
Specifically, the banner in the background that reads "Is Life Delicious?" was what stuck out to me.

Another Morning gets bonus points for having the members in drag.

If I'm allowed to reference game soundtracks, I really like the covers for Persona 3, 4, and 5; They all reference the kind of dual nature between the supernatural and the mundane that's present in all three games

...and I was trying to avoid album covers that just have a pretty lady on the front, but I am a very simple creature
