I sound pretty stupid asking if there are any fans for a popular game series, but still, to me it seems like I can't find many on this site...
I love the first game very very much, but the second game is also good, don't get me wrong. I just always found the first game to be far more charming than the second one..
Also I'm a big fan of the 1997 alpha version of the first game and especially the infamous meth addict barney that I love so much dearly....!!!!))

mostly played the 2nd game, havent beaten any of the actual games (blame parking garage rally circuit and counter strike source)
played a little bit of hl1's multiplayer and got dogwalked

RIGHT HERE!!!! im currently playing the first game and it's been a great pastime despite the tasking tasks and the parts that made me hold my head in my hands in anguish..... i've entered the alien world and im jumping on floating rocks #itspeakgaming
@gegmetal you should really play the sequels that were made for the first game!!! they are also pretty good, blue shift is my favorite though and it's shorter from the sequels

@viviemortis you can always give it a try))) there's a leaked version of the hl alpha demo which you can easily get. And if you're gonna end up liking the style of the game, then I recommend trying out the thrill ex mod, I haven't finished the mod just yet, but I really love it so far
i love it, i have replayed both games quite a few times and its always fun!
I remember i got HL1 for free on it's 25th anniversary almost 3 years ago and i had a blast playing it for the first time
some months later i bought the orange box on sale which came with HL2 and both episodes (couple months before HL2 went free for the 20th anniversary and the episodes became part of the main game itself...), its the perfect sequel
i have not played HL1 DLCs yet though, i have been meaning to get them for 1-2 years now but i still haven't
