oooohh here in chile we have calzones rotos! It's basically a fried dough sprinkled with powdered sugar, very simple but really yummy :3

in the philippines we have a ton of desserts that i absolutely adore
theres leche flan, basically just creme caramel but its richer because we only use egg yolks for it instead of the entire egg which is what the spanish do i think
theres halo-halo which is like a whole bundle i guess theres shaved ice, milk, sweeteners, beans, ube ice cream, mangoes, cheese, idk it really depends on where you get the halo halo but i havent had it in a while since i dont live in the philippines anymore so my memory is kinda fuzzy... halo halo also literally means mix mix in english
theres bilo bilo which is like glutinous rice balls with coconut milk, sweet potato, tapioca pearls, and jackfruit, but just like halo halo theres a ton of different versions and stuff u can put in the bilo bilo so

@pwniczerodisco! that looks soooo good!! I remember an old friend mentioning bilo bilo once, but I had no idea what it was back then. It's nice seeing it come up again ^^ I'll see if anywhere near me sells it (probably not since I'm in the middle of nowhere Texas lol), and if not I'll definitely try making it myself :D

Well Australia kinda just steals from every other culture, just as America does... but Pavlova is such a nostalgic dessert we have. It's mainly a Christmas thing though cause of all the fruits and stuff (it's summer fruits.) but uh... it's like the perfect thing to have on the SECOND. Picture this, you stayed up late on Christmas, really late, so the next day you wake up at around 10-12 and you go to the fridge and there's leftover Pavlova. You get a spoon and have a mouthful of it. I don't believe in heaven, but oh gosh that's damn near close to it.
The crisp meringue, LOVELY cream and sweet juicy fruit is just all I want in this world.
@Naynoro It's so pretty!! The recipe I checked out didn't seem hard (though I suck at making meringue lol) so I may be able to make it. I'm curious about the texture now ^^
@cheesecakelover115 depending on where you’re from, you may be able to find pre-made meringue at the store!

From Canada, we have a few favourite desserts, but for me, it's any dessert with maple syrup. Since I make my own maple syrup, a favourite of mine is pudding chômeur (en anglais: poor man's pudding). It's easy to make, and comforting on cold autumn and winter nights. There's all sorts of variations, you can add summer berries or nuts if you like.

@Kommando Mutiliid Looks yummy! :D My to-bake list just keeps getting longer lol. Also, it's so cool that you make your own maple syrup!! I've heard it's a long process just to get a good amount
Haha, yes, it's a very long process from start to finish! I converted an old metal filing cabinet into a boiler for making the syrup. Takes several weekends to get to the final amount, but I got 14 litres (not sure what that is in quarts) worth of syrup this year!

Glad they enjoyed their honeymoon. I do like to think that Canadians take their puddings quite seriously, perhaps to cope with the winters haha

Here in Italy a favourite of mine is Crostata ricotta e visciole (Ricotta and sour cherries tart) , it's a dessert which my great grandmother used to make when i was a kid, and i always loved it.

One of my favorite desserts is künefe! I’ve been trying to find a place that sells good künefe since i dont live back home anymore and it’s not very common here but it’s really delicious! I really recommend everyone to try it :3

Ooohh I don’t really remember a specific desert but a favorite in my culture is luqaymat
It's like little fried donut balls but instead of sugar or custard is has syrup (any kind “honey-date syrup ect..”) it’s crunchy outside and soft inside
My grandma used to make the best luqaymat
Plus it does Need specific ingredients u can make it anywhere ^^
