a good start book for someone who wants to start reading on feminism?

i usually make my research online because i struggle reading books due to adhd but i'm currently on uni studying international relations and planning to specialise in human rights so i want to educate myself more, i already know terms and ideologies but i want to read something that focuses on the roots of misogyny and how can we deal with this problem and patriarchy. also anything else that you want to recommend but is not specifically about this is also appreciated!!

I know it’s very basic but I quite enjoyed the handmaids tale! It’s surprisingly scary how our world is starting to look more and more like it, even though the story feels like an exaggeration. And don’t skip the epilogue!

a great start may also be The Bell Jar by Sylvia plath, sure it isn't the most upbeat, but it does give you an insight. I agree with ZamsMeteoriteEye, the handmaid's tale is great too (and its subsequent The Testaments, i love you margatet atwood). A-Level English literature over where I'm from does the connections of all of those, and feminism within.

another good shout is Red Clocks (Leni Zumas) which I read last summer, set in a 'different time' which as you read it, seems more like present day in some countries rather than a dystopia, which is sort of terrifying and really evokes a powerful feeling. I'd say this is a great book to read further on, though. (one of my favourite books, although it is quite chilling)

a few more that would be great to start with would be 

1. The Stepford Wives (more of a harrowing story)
2. The Awakening (more on the female empowerment, quite dull at times another one of my favourites)
3. Herland (im currently halfway through this) 

if you want like synopsis of these I'd be glad to send you them lol, I just don't want to spoil some of them as they are all lovely books
