What gives you guys motivation to post WIPs?

Back to Art & Photography

I get really shy about it, so I don't really post my unfinished works.

i want ATTENTION and if i post a wip there's a chance i GET ATTENTION

that's basically it :P

also though, it's wise to post wips every so often nowadays to prove you're not a gpt

@mallrat This is hilarious

My biggest motivator is, I ain't got nothing else to post and I'll probably won't finish it anyways but still wanna show my idea at least. . .honestly it ain't never been that big of a thing for me to question I just do it LOL ^^;

Getting feedback from people that may help you gain a new perspective on your piece can be really helpful.

Honestly? I don't know. I never really thought about why, I just do it.

Alot of people like posting WIPs of their craft. You don't need to be ashamed.

I dont really ever color anything, so all art I post is in a perpetual state of looking unfinished. So like, wips just end up looking like my regular art :)

I post them to friends who are already invested in the drawing/craft/story, sometimes for feedback and further yapping but mainly to show that I'm still working on something since I take light years on projects :')

feedback, usually positive, keeps me going with the piece :-)

I mainly post my WIPs so that people can see my art process from start to finish and get an idea at my workflow speed. Sometimes I'll finish an illustration the same day I post the WIP.

It also lets people follow along sometimes too whenever they wanna be inspired to draw and see that starting the task isn't so scary, especially when they're a new beginner artist whose afraid to start somewhere.
