When Character Creation is an option, what archetype do you typically choose?

Back to Games

Generally for me, it depends on the genre of the game and whether or not classes exist. For example, if I were to be doing a mage playthrough of a game, I either lean towards an old and wise wizard complete with a beard ala Merlin, OR a young and adept witch ala Yennifer.

I'm either a baddie with a beard, or a baddie with curls. No in between.

god it depends so heavily.

For singleplayer games I usually just try to make a regular cool looking guy to have as a self insert that won't ruin my immersion. But if all male cosmetics are ugly, then I make a female character so at least I have a cute girl on my screen at all times.

For clothes I go for whatever is coolest for guys, and whatever is cute is but not over the top for girls(over the top as in something that doesn't fit the setting or scenario character is in so no overly casual clothes n stuff if it's a combat heavy game)

For multiplayer games? I make the ugliest mother fucker known to mankind. Max out all facial settings, make it look like a crack head, go naked if I can. Make a creature so ugly even it's mother cant love it

I have a large pool of DnD characters so I usually grab one of them and mold them into the world, but usually I play chaotic good shitheads, smug but ultimately we'll meaning, usually dark casters like Warlocks

Depends on the game but typically I will make a self insert human rogue or ranger. Hunter looks similar to me, fair skin, brown hair, green eyes, then I make her wear things like tunics, kinda tight leather armor, or maybe a nature-y outfit. Meanwhile my rogues are always based on my persona when I was younger: paler skin but not super pale, blood red short hair, dark blue eyes, and typically tight black or dark colored clothes.

Once I know about the game and make alts that's when I like making my unique characters. Like in Diablo 4 for the Barbarian I make a redhead with pale skin, green eyes, and base her off 9f vikings. For the sorcerer class I make a olive skinned character with black hair and brown eyes and dress her in noble like clothes that are typically gold.ย

I typically go for as close to barbarian as possible. Sort of lean it towards battle mage and, if i can, choose to find and refine skills and magic that basically just make me hit you with my sword harder.ย

I'm the guy that always makes either a trap or a girl =๏ฟฃฯ‰๏ฟฃ= I want to look pretty

I want to pick up this call.

Rogue -- jack of all trades, master of none sounds a lot like myself.ย

Maybe MySpace was all the friends we made along the way.

Really anything. If it's something like 2077 or Saints Row I make like, a super cool guy in a leather jacket/trench coat based off my own crime fiction original character. If it's fallout I just make the coolest looking guy I saw in a film/game that week and run that build.

But if we're talking like, Oblivion (which i'm playing atm) I just make a samurai/ronin cause I'm unoriginal :p.
