Hiii divas!! I just finished my diary I’ve been writing in since April and now I have a new one! It’s pink with strawberries and I added some ribbons and lace onto it to make it cute.
Butttt, to anyone else who writes in a journal or diary, how do I make it feel more like y2k and less boring? Like what should I add to it?? GIMME IDEAS!!
I'm not sure how to make it the y2k aesthetic but I do suggest getting a hp sprocket printer. You can print whatever you want and they're stickers.
Also here's my journal collection, I've only completed 4 journals. I'm on my 5th one right now.

@Jamz💋 I have a little printer that prints photo stickers!! I just done use it much 😭😭 but those are sooo pretty!!
Use glitter pens to write. With fuzzy balls at the end. Cute little lock on the journal or tie a ribbon around it with a pretty bow. Doodle in the margins. That's what I did in my journal growing up lol.
@Kayla⟡ I have colored pens and I can confirm that it is fun to make mistakes with colored pen! You can also make your own pompoms for the end if you are on a budget or feeling crafty! ^^

I have a leathery journal with a tigers eye on the front, and use a cute little giraffe pen to write in it and often print out photos of font memories to put in it.
I dont really follow the y2k aesthetic, but to make it less boring I write with either colored pens or with markers! I collect some stuff from days, print photos (both with normal paper but also photopaper), buy decorated paper blocks, decorating my pages before writing down, sketching.... just whatever is my current vibe / mood or what was mood of the day (when I went to cinema on horror movie I decorated two pages with my markers and added my cinema ticket, matching the horror aestehtic)

But I always collect stuff like receipts and tickets to put in the diary and then never do (I just made a journal case though that has pockets so I can put the stuff in there and not lose them!!)

i like to put painters tape over the cover to mask it, and then paint over it in acrylic. i've also bought fabric frm like walmart's fibers section and superglued it to like a composition notebook LOL
I gotta get back into journaling and scrapbooking :(((((( but if you want to print pictures i recommend the fuck outta CVS photolab they always have online deals for printing photos, AND the counter still sells and develops disposable cameras
I don't hold a journal but I like to carry around a field notebook where I doodled and write about thing i learned or I write about things that happened to me on that day it's real fun I'm on my second notebook right now so I am still considered a beginner I guess haha
I write rather personal stuff in a Kokuyo campus notebook with my fountain pen collection, which I show to my therapist. I also have a hobonichi techo which I mostly just write down what I ate and new (to me) albums I listened to, along with monthly recaps. Also there's about 2 pages dedicated to listing 100 things, and this year (my first with a hobonichi) is to list new (to me) things I experienced this year, mostly music albums and movies, so far I'm almost to 100 this year, which is exciting.
i used to hoard cute stuff but i had nowhere to put it so i stuck them in my journals and the pages i made looked really cute!! maybe you could do something like that? like a junk page of some sorts?
