I've been working on a Touhou doujinshi that answers the question of: How did we get from Suwako to Sanae?
It starts in the Heian era, when Suwako blesses the court's infertile priestess with an extremely gifted child, who has abilities similar to Sanae, and ends in the late Shōwa era, when Sanae's mother, Sachie, joins a Yanki mob, falls in love with another Yanki, and has to abandon Sanae.
It goes through different periods in Japan, each telling the story of a very different woman who manages her unique abilities.
I even have their and dates of births names already XD
