Inspiration & copying is different

Back to Art & Photography

Art means Creating in all its forms either it’s a dance , music , fashion , writing , painting etc… and it goes on forevermore

Inspiration is part of art

Copying is not

And I think copying comes in many forms and one of it is “trends” it’s a Trend everyone is doing it, you didn’t make or create it so no I don’t think that’s art (Unless u started the trend)

And that’s my opinion on this though copying is not bad at all! copying and claiming its art and something u created is bad!!

I agree claiming you did it is a big no no!

@Hanko ☆ definitely

there's a massive grey area you're not seeing. copying point blank from someone else's work and taking all the credit for it is bad, but "steal like an artist" is something i had to learn how to do and it took many years. a lot of artists need to learn how to properly steal stuff. and no that does NOT mean use AI.

a lot of the things in my pictures are things i didn't make myself--assets that i either paid to license to use or have permission by the artist to use for free, ie free clip studio assets. i also do a lot more tracing than people realize. That's usually a combination of digital manikins and photographs i took myself (either of old buildings outside or objects i staged for the piece).

once upon a time i would have called this cheating/stealing because i didn't draw the whole thing entirely from my imagination! but it's actually how most successful commercial art is created. nothing in a creative space is original except your personal spin on existing things.

now go steal somethin' and make me proud.

@mallrat

I Mean it  in a more plagiarism way

What ur saying is absolutely right I think it’s called Synthesis or idk something like that

Art is So Endless U can make anything And that’s what’s beautiful about it ^^
