Not a serious one though, I just need y'all's opinions. :))

Replying to @Kommando Mutiliid (post is on page 1): “@ᛉ Silver ᛣ Grausamkeit/Blod Besvimelse and their consequences”

@Kommando Mutiliid black metal has gone mainstream, bilions must be gatekept

If they say something along the lines of "just let people enjoy things" in reaction to something most fans are upset about.

they call beginners posers and then refuse to educate them .-. literally what is the logic in that

@n!c0 N1L ♪☆

I think the same! We need to help others!!  those comments can make them feel like they need someone's approval and its so dumb

They care too much about calling out other people in the community for being posers.

It's like H2O Said (lol):

I think what makes someone a "poser" isn't about clothes or trying to imitate someone's subculture sometimes those people are just trying to follow a fashion and we can help them to understand.

BUT If that person is being mean to others and hurting them, making mean comments , making fun of others and they absolutely don't have interest in politics then they're a huge ball trash and shit and poser as hell💀

someone might honestly consider me a poser, im just kinda new. everyone ive talked to hoping they arent super mainstream has resulted in them just saying "yea i dont listen to the music anymore, i just like dressing like this", politicaly they're nowhere either.

i haven't met many ppl who at least try not to look like posers so this is all ive got

@mlorfiee(motosierra)

Don't feel like a poser just for being new, if you want to express yourself, just do it. You don't need the approval from others 💕

someone who does nothing helpful to the community and just crawls around looking for other people to call posers, while yelling at random people  for not having niche music taste

I really hate calling people posers, im not that kind of person but i had a friend who was a poser, they went out and posted about a ton of bands I liked to look cool,  but in actuality they didnt listen to the bands at all (not even a single song!!!) And just used my knowledge to make them appear cooler😓 I would say that kind of person is a poser, since they didnt care to look into it, but they used it as an image to look cool

(Also, they talked about the bands to me, but only things like "omg their "vocalist/drummer/guitarist/bassist is so hot", never the songs) <- which is something I wouldnt have an issue with if they.... actually knew their songs😭

- denying the link between politics and subcultures

- "og scene kids were mean so it's okay"

- "right wingers can't be alternative"

If they don't have the politics to match the style. Alternative has always been about opposing the norm, that's why it's the alternative LMAO.

"[blank] is a music based subculture" well thats not a subculture then is it its never been "just music" lmfao also 90% of tiktok arguments are poser shit because its just the same rehashed takes because people are too scared to make a stance on something

someone who worries too much about being niche or only liking "underground bands", making fun of people getting into a subculture, etc.

That they police over other people in the community whilst having zero ties to it beyond the surface level things that's the exact same as the "poser". I mean really wtf is a poser nowadays when everything's been aestheticized/sanitized for mass consumption with pre packaged ways to dress and like 3 bands at minimum to add to your playlist. If you're not in commune with anybody what's the point of competing for larp. Just look like that spider man img instead of doing any of the things those communities stood for.

people who cannot be satisfied just being part of a scene, who need constant validation that they're "tuff" or "niche" or "not a poser".

the whole "name 3 things from ___" shit. also clowning on "basic" things too. in the fashion community i thought we were all on the same page of dressing how you want? like why then hate on something "basic" if thats something they like? the most poser thing to do is see a comment online about a character, community, game, whatever and run with it without doing your research. you dont need to  know every song and history of a band you just found, you need to be aware of the history of the subcultures you get yourself into, you can like games without knowing every different version or popular animations of it. yes, let people enjoy what they like.  who cares if its basic or popular.

It was you who led the world to its destruction.
But you cannot accept it.
You think you are above consequences.

@seukaramusyu I've seen people like this, whether it's veterans or new people. It's just my opinion, but I always see these type of people ESPECIALLY Nirvana fans. When I got asked one time even if I listen to Nirvana, and to name 10 songs (and know their good songs that are not on the top #10), I just got mental block, because it's so sudden.

And plus, what's the point of people calling posers "posers" because they like popular songs/ bands. Some people just need to be welcoming to people that are just welcoming niche bands to their life.

Those tumblr / insta "perfection groups" run by 15 year olds. it was cringe and toxic on myspace. it's cringe and toxic now

Replying to @SteadmanSlick (post is on page 1): “if their personality is based around how many niche bands they can name, or if their main focus is calling other people posers. ”

@SteadmanSlick thats so reallll
