How do I diy/ upcycle items without costing more money?

Irl, I'm pretty known as that artsy person according to my friends. Yes, I do have certain materials and mediums such as acrylic paints, and paintbrushes. Though, I have a few questions in mind right now, since art stores are definitely far away from my area.

1. I know how to make fabric paint with acrylics and fabric conditioner, because of those tiktok tut videos, though they don't really show what it looks like after it's been washed. All I know is that I shouldn't use a washing machine. Does the diy fabric paint crack after a few hand washes? I asked this mainly because I have hyperhidrosis, so I sweat a lot more when I'm exposed to the sun, resulting in more washes.

2. What kind of markers work best for actually drawing on the surface of a shirt? 

3. How do I sew my diy studs from monster cans to my shirt? do I simply poke holes and thread it there?

If you guys DO HAVE other suggestions and tips to diy, please share it if ya want!! The shirts I'm talking about painting is The Yippee Ep, and ismfof, Might also do three cheers for sweet revenge.

Ik this may not be a lot of help, but i love looking on Pinterest for diy clothes tutorials! And sometimes you don't even have to sew; you just need scissors and a plan. I use bleach to paint some of my shirts and the designs you can get are pretty versatile:) wishing you luck!

1. i'm not too sure, recently i painted on some clothes with acrylic paints but didn't add fabric softener and i'm a little scared to wash them, but heat setting the paint (iron it with any cloth on top) should make it last better. acrylic paint is already pretty hard to get out of clothes once it's dry so there shouldn't really be many problems with washing them.

2. i used a regular permanent marker on one top and after a year of many washes, what i drew on it is still perfectly fine and visible.

3. i think that would work. i've been planning on making some studs for my patch vest too, i figured i would glue them first too to make it more secure but i'm not sure how well that would work for something washed more often. 

some tips: for sketching on a shirt i like to use eyeshadow, easier to wash off/correct if you mess up; have a piece of cardboard or something inside the shirt when you're painting on it in case it bleeds through; i like to stretch my fabric a bit by pinning the corners/sides to said cardboard to have a smoother surface; wait a day or two before you wash the shirts until you're sure the paint is completely dry.
