I really want them to add new crops and food recipes, like they could add more fruit drops from different trees or something, or make like strawberry plants idk.
i also want them to add walls, bricks, etc... from blocks that are missing full sets, like we have a regular prismarine wall but not dark prismarine??? seems stupid to me.
there is one specific feature i wish mojang would do and it's that i wish the sniffer could dig up an ancient tree that looks completely different to every other tree in the game it would have been such a cool way to add a really wacky wood or something.
Other than that i wish they would just take an update that would be about updating older systems in the game like the potion making, the missing blocks that you said, make phantoms not suck. just go back to previous stuff they added and expand on them instead of adding new things that don't really do much for the game

Yeah, new crops and foods with existing ones would be fun. I want to make a sandwich. Other than that, a little bit more industry, some kinda universal fast furnace. Like a smoker or blast, but that works for everything.
@Cordell yea, being able to smelt cobblestone fast would be so helpful for builds, i recently built a stone brick bridge and it took forever 😭

another colorful wood type would be cool... green wood would be cool..
also like more vegetation and foods. itd be really cool if you could pick strawberries off bushes in, say, flower forests, or having patches of corn in plains!
jungle and swamp villages obviously need to be added..
also like a sort of watchtower structure would be cool
@AdenOnTheWeb yeah green wood would be great! i feel like we are missing a good variety of green, blue and purple blocks in the game
@machohartmadness imagine like a rare type of mushroom that only spawns in the mushroom island that gives you purple wood..

I wish they would make minecarts faster, or at least added a new type of rails to make them faster. That way there would be a better reason to actually use them instead of just sprinting everywhere. in old minecraft you could only walk so they were the best way to get from one place to another. nowadays they're kinda useless, as much as I love them.
@YourLocalClown no fr, i love minecarts, i wish there was more to do with them. with the elytra, it feels like late game they're just useless :(

craftable shulker boxes in earlygame would make building a base SO MUCH MORE FUN!!!!!!!! i don't understand why they would lock it behind endgame... also just more fun progression when it comes to mining/exploring that actually incentivizes you to do those things cuz so far it feels like going in caves and looking for trial chambers or temples for hoursss yields barely any loot compared to making afk farms. i had an endgame world once and it felt so boring cuz there was not much to do once you've optimized every part of the game. you could just stay in your megabase all day getting richer.
@Aspin :) i think shulkers are good for endgame, but i do think more storage/inventory space is definitely needed. i do use bundles a lot when i'm mining but honestly i think they should either make stack sizes bigger or add more inventory slots. especially with all the new blocks and stuff 😭
more structures in biomes, also more specific villages for biomes. Bc why is my cherry grove village a plains village. Also add more drops to the new mobs -_-. also this might be the stardew valley addict in me but i want to be able to make cheese LMAO
besides that, yea more building blocks. i noticed that i really want more variants for nether bricks, like similar to stone.
More ways to interact with villagers other than trading
@GemmaGemzXD yessss, and i really wish they would remove villagers ability to ruin crops, it's so annoying ;_;
