hypothetically speaking, let's say someone creates a thread called "what time is it" and every subsequent comment in that thread is people literally posting their local time. now i get that those type of threads bump forum activity a little; it's not uncommon to see stuff like that. but i'd rather have the option to hide, so that i could instead see posts with a bit more substance behind them.
with that in mind, i think it would be nice to have a link at the top of any given thread to hide it, so that it's not visible when you're viewing the board that thread is in. likewise, say you enjoy a particular thread and want to follow it for updates - a link to sub to that thread would be nice too.
here's a rough idea of what i'm envisioning here:

good suggestion !! maybe even a "spam"? sorta forum category could help with that! ^_^
@euoni i like this idea too tbh! perhaps a board not visible on the forum homepage, but one where posts flagged as spam could be manually moved to by mods

@euoni mind you, that also opens the floodgates for ppl abusing the feature, and mass spam reporting anything on the basis of x posted something and y doesn't agree with it :o
i could easily see myself as being a prime target of that tbh XD
