the REAL culinary industry plant is THE AVOCADO.

Back to Food & Drink

maybe im biased because i cant even digest avocados but holy shit. im CONVINCED the "consumerism food trend" allegations towards dubai chocolate and matcha are a psyop by big avocado to distract people from avocados being the true consumerism food because HELLO???

ive had all three (one of them did NOT stay down) at some point... and at the very LEAST, dubai chocolate and matcha taste good (in my opinion ofc!!). the two most important things to make a food good are taste and texture, and yet the 11,000 year-old green sludge in a pod fails both categories. its flavor is comparable to dry grass and its texture is fucking MUD. bad bad bad bad BAD.

like ive said before, i cant digest avocado. and not in a "it causes some issues with my poop" way, in a "theres no poop because it wont stay down" way. my mom says i do not have any intolerance to it and am being dramatic, because she fed it to me all the time as a baby and apparently i "really liked it." MIND YOU. BABIES THROW UP ALL THE TIME. the hype for this flavorless mush of a fat source is so widespread that you never hear about avocado intolerance. we must begin the movement of advocacy for the avocado intolerant, we are often overlooked and silenced.

i never understood avocados

glad im not the only one

They're high in fat content, so literally the only real use case I can think of is specifically if you're vegan and can't supplement fat in your diet any other way (probably why avocado toast is such a stereotype)
(and I think most health/food craze trends in general are just downstream from vegan stuff,  or wanting to be "natural"/"organic" because a lot of people want to give off the appearance of being healthy)

That's my theory, anyway

I want to pick up this call.
