any retroachievements/emulator gamers?

for those that don't know, emulators allow you to play handheld/console games on devices besides the devices/platforms they were designed or released for. in other words you can play nintendo ds games on your phone, or ps2 games on your pc, etc. there's lots of possible, feasible variables [can your calculator/ipod run doom? my ipod does], and some are a work in progress.

in addition to that, some emulators have a feature that allows you to unlock game achievements [think ps3/xbox 360 and beyond and some steam games are built to do]. i'm most familiar with retroachievements [my profile here]. just put your username/password into the emulator and you're all set.

if you're new/familiar with this feel free to add me 😌 if you have questions on setup or anything i'll help the best/quickest i can

edit: retroarch is afaik the most popular one stop shop for emulation on pc, more streamlined setup for a good amount of platforms you may happen to have/want to play games via emulation but not all

retroachievements enjoyer here, Profile . Burned myself out on wii games when it launched, waiting to get a good crtv as a 2nd monitor before i really hop back into it

I haven't emulated since I switched to linux but I used to emulate ps1/ps2/psp and game boy color stuff all the time !! Never set up a retroarch cuz im an achievement whore and I could not sleep if I didn't have all achievements on my fav games </3

Emulator gamer checking in!!

Enjoying gaming on my phone, thinking about purchasing a handheld down the line.

Currently rebuilding a handful of libraries, downloading pre-trained games (with cheat codes already added in) or adding them in myself.

Started working on the Gameboy Advance yesterday.

the Wii U is insane for emulation 10/10 recommend. I'm thinking about getting an anbernic slide or something also bc it's basically a phone with joysticks 

Kinda was obsessed with getting achievements when I got page on retroachievements lol I was trying to get so many achievement asap but now I'm more chill about, play mostly when I feel like it.
