alt clothes

hey everyone, where do yall buy emo/alt clothes and accesories???i found a store called "Make a $cene" wich i will buy next month maybe.

heyyy i honestly just use vinted or depop! i find the best stuff there or even in flea markets:) cheap and original 

I also get cheap T-shirts or like graphic tees and cut them up!!! I found tutorials on Tiktok/online or you can free style it! Also thrifting with an open mind is a great way too! Either goodwill or your local thrift or anything like that

You can basically get band tees from any metal shop. Those also have accessories like bracelets, bandanas, belts, chains, pins... If you're looking for pants, I usually get mine from H&M lol, but you can buy just a regular pair of jeans for example and add some pins, belts and chains. That's kind of enough for the whole outfit. I usually get my accessories and tees from MetalHeaven 

I've found some pretty cool pieces on Depop for not a lot of money. I also do a lot of local thrifing and DIY. 

The brand HeavenSent has some pretty cool stuff( although it is a bit pricey) I usually just buy clothes from Hollister and style it alternatively. (PLSS DONT COME AFTER ME FOR BEING A HOLLISTER EMO </3)

Most of mine came from thrift stores. Some stuff, like jeans, can be super simple, so really anywhere jeans are sold you can find some cromulant ones.  Most of my accessories are DIY[kandi, rainbow loom chokers, etc]. Rubber band bracelets I find at local events and such. You can also buy basic band tees and similar graphic tees and cut them up yourself. Tutorials are plentiful on Youtube.

i'm a sucker for hot topic anything ever since they added plus sizes, but i get the feeling you're not after that.

for some of my stuff i buy or thrift plain t-shirts and get a local print shop to put images on. i sometimes sublimate stuff with my own designs. occasionally that means buying items from amazon (ack) because the only other option is temu (double ack) but if i can thrift it or at least buy it brick and mortar, i will. 

if you're into chains, you can thrift necklaces and add dollar store mini carabiners to the ends to turn them into pants chains.

don't sleep on your local resources. check to see if a local library near you has items for making stuff. for example my local library charges 25 cents to make a button badges and that makes it cheap and easy to create wearable merch of whatever i want + supporting your local library is punk rock af. 

I got mine at flea markets or thrift stores, and depending on what i want i just recycle them onto other things, tho most of the time I end up almost remaking something lol.

And for bracelets or chains, stuff like that, its mostly diy and its a hell of a lot easier than one might think

i rarely find good stuff in stores, moat of my clothing is secondhand

I don't know any alt stores in my country, or if they even exist. I mainly get my clothes from resellers (mostly secondhand) and customize a few myself.

thrift stores are the best for alt shopping, the vintage clothes hold up better

I do yard sales/thrift stores/DIY/flea markets for the vast majority of my clothes. 10% of the time I might find a good accessory at Hot Topic, Spencer's, or Zumiez, but even then, I pass on the first two quite often because their accessories are so poor quality, they typically break or start to tarnish within a year ._. Thinking outside the box a bit helps too, I've gotten some of my best finds at the army surplus store and deadstock stores XD That may just be me tho

i get patches from record shops or make them and sew them onto stuff from thrift stores! (jeans, hoodies, t shirts) u can also find lots of leather jackets at like goodwill and stuff. also, making spiked bracelets from old t shirts and soda cans, belts, old bags, etc.
