i'll go first!! i love emo/tweemo, twee (subculture, not the same as tiktok whimsy twee), and cutecore (aesthetic), but i'm not in any of those. ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀)

what's your favorite subculture/style/aesthetic that you're NOT in?
i really love the gyaru and vkei styles. i also am really into the 2000's mcbling party culture vibe (i'm honestly not sure exactly what it's called...). in person i am like the complete opposite which i find funny hehe. 
I wanted to be scene SOOOO bad when I was younger. Now that I'm older I don't think it fits me at all, but I still admire it! Also twee (same boat), whimsigoth (oh god if I could get anything in my size), 60s-70s medieval revival (again, anything vintage besides jewelry will NOT fit me ugh), vintage western, there's so much lol

@Sol ello , u dont know me but im a size 1x-3x (depending on the brand) who is into 60s-70s fashion and i just wanna say it IS possible to find things that fit that arent also $300 !! a lot of the brands i buy are like , old navy or those sort of common modern brands , because they've made some genuinely awesome pieces for that kind of style. the clothing doesn't have to actually BE vintage in order to LOOK vintage! for example , my favourite hippie-style dress is from giant tiger (canadian brand , kinda like walmart or target). it was bought brand new last month but it still works for the aesthetic , if that makes sense ? anyway i just figured i'd try and give some advice since i was once having the same problem as u

@xxcloser2theheart I do love me some old navy, I've never heard of giant tiger (I'm in the us), but I'll look into it! I've also been trying to get into sewing my own clothes so once my sewing machine is repaired I'm probably gonna do that as well! Thanks!!!!

I love EGL and gyaru! I find that gyaru has had a bit of a resurgence lately, with egg coming back into print publication

definitley gyaru!!! i remember like a year ago i had such a big era where id research SO MUCH. i found blogs, forums, posts that date back all the way to late 2000s and early 2010s. deffo my fav subculture, i admire it!

I think its gyaruo. They look so cool i love them, also the vibes are awesome, I havent ever seen one that was just a poser or anything, i love their style and hair!! I always watch videos of gyaruo parapara dance or tutorials how to look like that but i think it just genetically looks better on asian ppl
vkei is cool asf. went to japan a few months ago but in US sizes im a medium in shirts and occasionally upwards of XL in pants depending on the brand, so obv almost nothing fit me lol. huge bummer, most of the money i converted to yen for the trip was for clothes+food 🥲
