Last year I got TERRIBLE GRADES all because I didn't study, and its like really hard for me to study and everything, so I'm wondering does anyone have good study tips? or just ways to get better grades
Hi, fellow ADHDer here :) A lot of the usual study advice does not work for us. It helps to figure out what actually makes learning interesting to you and use your interests as a springboard.
I study in different places, eat sour candy or something sweet while I work, and rewrite my notes by hand. Anything digital, I try to make physical somehow. It keeps me more engaged and helps the information stick.
You can also try short study sprints, studying beside someone else, turning the material into a game, or giving yourself a small reward after each section.
If you still cannot focus even when the subject interests you and you have tried different strategies, it may be worth talking to a doctor about ADHD medication.
Medication made studying much more possible for a lot of people (me), and there is no shame in needing it. :)
