Hey everyone! I’m really interested in how different writers get eyes on their online work. I write a lot, but I’m always looking for new and better ways to reach potential readers without feeling like I’m shouting in an empty room. What has worked for you? Do you lean on social platforms, SEO tricks, communities, or something else entirely? I’d love to read what’s helped you build an audience. Thanks!

honestly i think talking to people irl has given me the most success. i do do tiktok because it seems like for my writing and art personally i landed on the right audience but for books sold it's almost entirely been in person with a box of physical books i keep in my car.
I am not sure what type of writing and audience, I know you're a technical writer but I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about here. Either way I am an academic writer so it's probably a little different for me. Mostly, it comes from talking to other colleagues at conferences and discussing current projects. Word of mouth. But, I've seen literary people do expos with a booth to talk to people IRL. State fairs, county fairs too. talking to people about their art for the love of the game (meaning, not making much/any money but just wanted to share it). So i think it also depends on your long term goals as well. Idk if this is helpful. Good luck and look forward to reading (:
