Since my last mp3 player broke I finally got to fixing my destroyed 5th gen ipod i bought at a yard sale a while ago and damn this thing is awesome. The dac on this thing is sick and the interface hasn't aged a day and thanks to software written my some awesome people you can just sync the music with your pc!! Just wondering if anyone else here is still using one of these ancient things and what yalls experiences with them are
I am!!! I have a blue iPod nano gen 2. This baby has a pretty good battery, which is rare. She also only holds 4 gb, compared to the like 25 gb as my last one. However, this is helping me not hoard music I hate on it. Now ill sit and listen to music without anything else. Its nice!!! I also like the scroll wheel a lotttt. Its soooo much easier to change my battery.

Yeah! i have a 5.5(th?) gen one and that thing was so easy to work on, only difficult part is not losing those tiny screws. Wish the nanos where that easy to work on, especially with all the battery issues they are having, having to slide it out and not mess up the soldering seems painful

hell yeahhh, nanos are awesome but theres something so special about being able to mod the classics into exactly what you want them to be
Im always trying to find mp3 players but the thrift never has any 💔
sadly they're really sought after nowadays so its pretty difficult to find one for a good price, worth checking out yard sales and stuff like that though, thats where i have the best luck atleast

i want to get an ipod so bad!!!!!!!! i didn't get to have one when they were popular because of the price point but even used they're still pretty high up there. can't seem to find a modern equivalent that isn't amazon trash so i might have to pony up the money sometime soon.

There are actually some good modern equivalents from sony and fiio, but a lot of em do cost as much as an ipod did back in the day if not more. Still worth looking at if you want more modern features, unfortunately most of them aren't quiteee as cool as ipods, at least in my opinion :p
i've been wanting to but unfortunately both my childhood ipods cant hold a charge without being plugged in these days </3 and i dont have the money for a replacement rn not even thrifted. i miss my ipods so bad tho T_T the click wheels are so satisfying and fun to use, and omgggg i miss coverflow SO MUCH. i even had a tiny ipod version of the game spore on one of them it was awesome lol

it seems that mp3 players are making a small comeback. i have a mp3 player i bought off amazon some time ago filled with songs and ablums i liked.
