Help! I need new comfort YouTubers!

TLDR; I need new comfort youtubers because mine are all too negative in subject matter

So my anxiety has super spiraled out of control over the past few years, but I start paramedic school next month. Not only am I gonna be put in some of the most stressful and scary situations of my life in medic school, but during orientation they said if we aren't confident or we're too anxious/timid they'll fail us out of the program. :,)

My problem is, I don't have good coping skills and all of my comfort shows/youtubers/etc aren't necessarily positive (true crime, Chernobyl, etc.) I also have major anxiety about trying new things lol so this might be hard but I think I need to just use this as exposure therapy and try anyway! So I was wondering, what are ya'll's comfort youtubers?!

I currently like commentary youtubers (though that's not the most positive), Good Mythical Morning, and miscellaneous Harry Potter channels (not the official channel just people's fan theories and such). I think I would like to get into Lego videos, DIY tutorials, and maybe some educational stuff!

I'm not sure if it falls under DIY, but Dollightful is super fun and calming to watch for me!

I LOVE Izzzyzzz!! the topics they cover are always right up my alley, same with Dream Jelly!

I also like David Achu, his commentary videos are very well put together, I especially love when he just uses a giant square on his floor as a greenscreen 😭 and I always learn something new with him

and if you're into minecraft vids at all I'd also recommend LuvstarKei, they have a side channel for oldschool let's plays too :3 plus in terms of style they're a huge inspo for me

Omg pls check out Euro Brady, hes a therapist who plays games and its amazing. If u check his channel u can find a Playlist for each game and choose the one u like the most >__< I believe it fits into the "educational video" category but its also entertainment cuz its a gameplay!!

i really like Lonzlo & LazyMattMan! they make the binding of isaac videos semi if not daily :)

though thats just me ^^

if youre looking for a silly series, i can also recommend watching all of Hunter the Parenting :3c 

I'm a huge northernlion fan!! He has a reputation for saying the most profound things over the silliest games, so perhaps not like the most chill all the time but even his "crash outs" I find he delivers in a funny way or resonate with me. 

I also watch a lot of Alveus Sanctuary, they have 24/7 live cams on animals and do a bunch of education!

For commentary I like Eddy Burback, his videos are long and I think his voice is very calming, vlogs I like Pasta Coma and Silvie The Queen, Silvie is very calm and cute while Pasta is more chaotic but in a funny way, and I agree with EVERY recommendation from RainieRawr lol 

My go to YouTuber has always been Markiplier...I'm not helpful sorry

u should check out grimbeard!! he covers a lot of games with a gothic aesthetic and I looooove listening to his stuff while i draw or do whatever elseee

Maybe we have very different ideas of what a comfort YouTuber is, but some of the ones I like the most are:

BENOFTHEWEEK – Random vlogs where he goes to some of the most inhospitable places on the planet. He also has a channel called DRAMA MAMA, where he talks about a bunch of different topics.

ARMAX – Two British friends who do different kinds of challenges. They came from Korean Englishman, which is also a great channel if you're interested in seeing how people react to Korean culture and food.

BennyCake – Pretty inactive these days, but his videos are super relaxing.

Frederick Atkinson – Mostly makes videos about English literature, explaining its history, the plots of different books, and other related topics.

UnsolicitedAdvice – Videos about philosophy and book opinions, along with some current topics like excessive ironic consumption and the popularization of the phrase “it’s not that deep.”

Zane Parker – Essays about movies.

y3w – Y2K-style vlogs.

SouthernASMR Sounds: I'm not an ASMR type but I LOVE her videos, to me it doesn't feel like traditional asmr, she just has a soothing voice and makes videos organizing Dollar Tree shelves. 

Experience JAPAN: Also very calming but no commentary. He makes POV videos where he travels to different areas, or rides different trains in Japan.

Odd Tinkering: Channel full of restoring various objects, no commentary but fun to watch imo

Foo the Flowerhorn and PleaseBee: Both relaxing channels showing the channel owner caring for their pets :^) I wouldn't suggest PleaseBee though if you don't like insects or are sensitive to insect death as sometimes he does make videos if his pets die!

Queen Ant a-Chan's egg Diary by nana82573: This I actually did use to watch to help calm my anxiety. It's a series documenting the channel owner's ant farm with relaxing music and cute doodles over it. I got sooo invested but sadly there's only 26 videos and he stopped uploading videos in that series in 2018 D: Again I would not recommend if you don't like insects tho or are sensitive to insect death

PlanD: A korean vlog channel, no commentary but mostly cooking!

Defunctland is also really entertaining when I want to listen to something long and/or interesting but I want something on the more positive/neutral side. He just goes over things like discontinued theme park attractions? It's hard to explain and doesn't sound very entertaining but it is oddly fascinating 

izzzyzzz/randy moon/plushiepath: Each of these guys do commentary on internet/fandom history, none of it is really negative or disturbing though :D

I wish you the best of luck in paramedic school, I believe in you!! Coming from someone who has had anxiety all their life, recovery and improvement is always possible :) Things will get better and you've got this
