what feminism do you choose and why? I'll start. I stick with radical/lesbian feminism, but I also include anarchist feminism. I'm open for debates and finding some fellow feminists!!

intersectional radfem all the wayy

@s♡vbeah₊⊹❀ can you explain that further? how does it work

@snake_or_snack ofc!! i'm not a fan of simple, reformist branches of feminism, such as choice feminism or liberal feminism. they ignore the bigger picture and work within the patriarchy instead of identifying it as the root cause of the problem, and (imo) do nothing but further strengthen the oppressive system we live in. every act of women's oppression is tied to the patriarchy, and as a radical feminist (radfem) and anti-capitalist, a fundamental abolition of capitalism (the patriarchy being a result of it) is what i strive towards in my activism.
and intersectional feminism basically just means being aware that factors such as racism, ableism, classism etc do not exist in a vacuum! instead, they influence each other and always overlap in this complex world we live in. this means that the liberation of marginalized groups cannot be achieved by simply focusing on just one of these aspects alone (e.g. gender. liberal/choice feminism does exactly this: it supports the narrative that the world can be fixed through simple legal reforms - the latter often prioritizing white women and leaving everybody else out - and individual choices, when in reality we're dealing with a systemic issue. equality cannot exist without the liberation of POC, trans, queer, and disabled women, and not without abolishing the oppression of the working class).

( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;) i'm really not good at putting it all into words but i hope this somewhat made sense 😭 ♥ and ofc this is all just my personal take on the subject!!

@s♡vbeah₊⊹❀ oh yessss i agree!! 100% i HATE choice feminism/modern western feminism. the second wave+intersectionality is everything we need

im not sure if this is exactly what its called but ive heard what i like called postmodern feminism

like think deconstructing gendered language, phrases. all that jazz
